چکیده
The present paper investigates the thermal mixing and cooling processes in a passive micromixer, which is applicable for of electronic devices. Employing porous block testing different configurations channel considered to enhance process performance. A 2D lattice Boltzmann model utilized investigate performance T-micromixer with block. Two types configurations, including step-shaped zigzag-shaped channel, are considered, obtained results compared those simple channel. two miscible fluids, at 50 25°C entering investigated. show that changing configuration may create chaotic laminar flow, enhances heat transfer rate between mixed flow wall. Whatever Reynolds number, exhibits better than one. For cases h/H = 0.5 0, respectively, exhibit

Using Lattice Boltzmann Method to Investigate the Effects of Porous Media on Heat Transfer from Solid Block inside a Channel
A numerical investigation of forced convection in a channel with hot solid block inside a square porous block mounted on a bottom wall was carried out. The lattice Boltzmann method was applied for numerical simulations. The fluid flow in the porous media was simulated by Brinkman-Forchheimer model. The effects of parameters such as porosity and thermal conductivity ratio over flow pattern and t...
متن کامل-Implementation of lattice Boltzmann method to study mixing reduction in isothermal electroosmotic pump with hydrophobic walls
The aim of the present work is to analyze the accuracy and to extend the capability of lattice Boltzmann method in slip EOF; a phenomenon which was previously studied by molecular dynamics and less considered by LBM. At the present work, a numerical experiment on boundary conditions of slip velocity is performed and the proportionality of slip with shear stress in electroosmotic pump is proved....
متن کاملGas Mixing Simulation in a T-Shape Micro Channel Using The DSMC Method
Gas mixing in a T-shape micro mixer has been simulated using the Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method. It is considered that the adequate mixing occurs when the mass composition of the species, CO or N2, deviates below 1 % from their equilibrium composition. The mixing coefficient is defined as the ratio of the mixing length to the main channel’s height. As the inlet Kn increases, while ...

Fluid mixing is a crucial and challenging process for microfluidic systems, which are widely used in biochemical processes. Because of their fast performance, active micromixers that use stirrer blades are considered for biological applications. In the present study, by using a robust and convenient Incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (ISPH) method, miscible mix...
